This website is intended to provide information to residents of Creve Coeur, MO near Olive and Woods Mill road, and to anybody else who is interested in how the Missouri Department of Transportation means to spend part of its stimulus money.
The proposed project in question is the Route 141 Improvement Project (Olive to Ladue). Set to begin in spring 2010, its intent is to spend $170 million in stimulus to build a small highway, $70 million of which will go to destroying a preserve of virgin wetland forest in the process.
This project has largely been kept quiet from people in the surrounding area. Under pressure from concerned civilians, MoDoT will start advertising along Woods Mill Road on May 7, 2009 about the public information meeting to reveal the details of this project. It is scheduled for May 14, 2009, at Parkway Central High School, 4 to 9 PM.
If you are opposed to this project already, please plan to come to the meeting wearing black, and prepared to stand with the rest of us against it. Otherwise, please take a look at the information presented on this site and decide if you agree.
